Memory is a collective entity produced by society. It is related with concrete social experiences. People remember the images while memorizing the places that they visited by correlating them with a specific social group. Collective memory is compose of their own history and culture. Buildings and all types of architectural elements in the cities are important part of the city’s memory while the city is a part of the collective memory of its citizen. Culture, identity, collective memory, urban identity and accordingly architecture which are directly related subjects to each other should be supported, preserved and hand down to new generations by conscious political approaches.
