The contemporary topical administratìon of Propranolol 0,5% and Buphenine 0,5% antagonizes the ocular hypotensive action observed after administration of Propranolol only. A weaker antagonism between Propranolol 1% and Epinephrin 2% was present. Buphenine produces a more slight but persistent miosis and an increase of the accomodative power, while Propranolol showed a very slight tendency to the midriasis and to a decrease of the accomodative power. For all these parameters an antagonism according to the concentration of the drugs, appeared. Propranoloi has no antagonistic effect on the Epinephrin, which seems to exert mainly an alfaagonist action.

Abstract
