Europe's top 100 schools of architecture and design 2016

For the fourth year in a row, Domus is publishing its supplement featuring 50 Schools of Architecture and 50 Design Schools in Europe. This selection has grown to become a respected resource highlighting educational excellences in the architectural and design cultures. Domus’ strong focus on education has become a constant feature of the magazine, with in-depth analysis of schools and teaching methods appearing regularly alongside events presenting the magazine in schools. Any annual selection intended as a convincing resource will, of course, feature a fairly “stable” school selection, with new additions appearing mostly because selecting 50 schools of architecture out of approximately 350 European ones examined and 50 design schools out of a multitude that makes it almost impossible to conduct a reliable census inevitably leads to noble exclusions. No exceptional new schools are going to appear from one year to the next, like musical hits or blockbusters.
