The Research Project that I developed within the thematic of Engineering of' Information and Communication has been marked on the info-mobility and on sustainable mobility. Initially he made an overview of ITS systems in general, the VANET networks (Vehicular Ad Hoc Network) and 802.11p protocol that allows its implementation, both in terms of sw that hw. Concluded this stage, it is switched to developing an algorithm that implemented the Intelligent Traffic Light and that, in fact, achieve a classic example of iteration between vehicle and vehicular infrastructure, in this case the traffic light, in other words between OBU (On Board Unit) and RSU (Road Side Unit). The development of this infrastructure tested in our streets, would allow an increase in the "sustainable mobility" reducing car queues and traffic and therefore also the harmful emissions in the environment.
Il Progetto di Ricerca che ho sviluppato nell’ambito delle tematiche dell’ Ingegneria dell’ Informazione e della Comunicazione è stato improntato sull’info-mobilità con legami alla mobilità sostenibile. Inizialmente si è fatta una panoramica dei sistemi ITS in genere, delle reti VANET (Vehicular Ad Hoc Network) e del protocollo 802.11p che ne permette l’implementazione, sia dal punto di vista sw che hw. Conclusa questa fase, si è passati allo sviluppo di un algoritmo che implementasse l’Intelligent Traffic Light e che, di fatto, realizzi un classico esempio di iterazione tra veicolo ed infrastruttura veicolare, in questo caso il semaforo, in altre parole tra OBU (On Board Unit) e RSU (Road Side Unit). Lo sviluppo di questa infrastruttura testata nelle nostre strade, consentirebbe un aumento della "Mobilità Sostenibile" riducendo le code ed il traffico e pertanto anche le emissioni nocive nell' ambiente.
