According to the latest researches, 88 stone-tools with hafting groove were discovered in Calabria. They were found in about 150 years and come from archaeological excavations, occasional discoveries or ancient collections. By all means, the 40 findings from the Grotta della Monaca mine (Cosenza, Northern Calabria) represent the group with the most important scientific value, since at the moment those are the only findings which have been discovered in situ and whose functional and chronological criteria we are able to provide
