In the following paper will be presented and discussed the Social Acceleration theory of Hartmut Rosa, one of the most important theorics of contemporary German Critical Theory. In details, there'll be exposed, in the first section, two conceptual achievements (the first drawn from Reinhart Koselleck and Hermann Lübbe's philosophies, the second inspired particularly by Paul Virilio's reflexions) of Rosa's sociology: the Gegenwartsschrumpfung 's phenomenom ("contraction of the present") and the annihilation of space through time. The central section of the essay concern multiples sub-compartments of acceleration and its “motors” (e.g. technical, social and pace of life's acceleration). The last part will be a quick explanation of the paradoxical Rosa's formulation of "frenetic standstill"'s category, compared with Paul Virilios's "inertie polaire", and individual pathologies due to the "desynchronization" from main system's temporality.

Abstract
The last part will be a quick explanation of the paradoxical Rosa's formulation of "frenetic standstill"'s category, compared with Paul Virilios's "inertie polaire", and individual pathologies due to the "desynchronization" from main system's temporality.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
