Abstract

In the last few years, great attention has been pointed to multi-modality systems because of the growing request to gather as much information as possible from different types of diagnostic devices. In this contest, a novel dual-modality probe is presented, based on an ultrasound (US) detector integrated with a small field of view single photon emission gamma camera in order to obtain images reproducing perfectly the anatomical detail (US) where the functional one (gamma) is well defined and exactly positioned.
