In recent years, companies have become increasingly dependent on their transport systems; as a result, the demand for mobility for both people and goods has increased. Therefore, logistics and transportation must be reconsidered as an integrated and dynamic system in which information, management and control operate simultaneously to optimize the use of infrastructures and the organization of traffic flows. The contribution of the new NLP to the country, in terms of environmental impact, can be analyzed in two different ways: first, through the optimization of road transport; secondly, through an increase in modal shift from road to rail transport. The purpose of this work is to estimate the potential reduction of negative externalities, arising from the full implementation of the new National Logistics Platform (NLP), through a detailed analysis with updated and robust insights concerning the road freight transport in Italy. Our goal is to verify if a reduction of the environmental impact occurs, and to quantify in economic terms to what extent it affects the community.

Abstract
Our goal is to verify if a reduction of the environmental impact occurs, and to quantify in economic terms to what extent it affects the community.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
