In this article the author poses various questions concerning the meaning and function of the notion of unconscious in the social sciences. In particular, the article outlines two perspectives: the first emphasizes the possibility of conquering the unconscious to consciousness, whilst the second outlines the dissolution of the subject in the unconscious dimension.
