Despite an initial lack of interest, the history of philosophy has gained, with time, a growing importance for phenomenology, so that many authors even try to develop a new set of concepts to engage this question. The «zigzag» method in the Crisis or the Heideggerian «destruction», the invention of «deconstruction» by Derrida and Foucault’s «archeology» are all attempts to face, again and again, the many paradoxes involved in a philosophical consideration of history of philosophy (e.g., circularity between principle and fact, coincidence of subject and object, etc.). This contribution aims to show that the Husserlian concept of the epoché has a decisive role at the core of the elaboration of all of these original concepts (destruction, deconstruction and archeology). In particular, the epoché establishes a new kind of ternary logic that is used to account for the paradoxes.
