Cultivation and ex situ conservation of threatened species is considered as a possible tool for conservation purposes (Heywood & Iriondo, 2003). The present work focuses on ex situ requirements for seed germination of Potentilla supina L. (Fig. 1), included in the Regional Red Lists of Italian Flora as a Critically Endangered (CR) species for the Latium (Conti et al., 1997).
