A new method of control, called VFC- Variational Feedback Control, recently developed by the authors is applied in the context of vibro-acoustics. Namely, the control law is variational-based and permits a feedback control, generally not possible in the frame of variational methods. The approach is applied to the general case of vibro-acoustic structure in which a source excites some elastic boundaries of an acoustic volume that, through a piezo-electric actuator, reduces both elastic vibrations and acoustic noise.
