Arte e realtà nella produzione artistica del Novecento

Le avanguardie storiche degli anni Venti e le neo-avanguardie degli anni Sessanta tentano di superare la distinzione tra arte e vita, negando così l’autonomia dell’arte, garantita dalla forma. Tuttavia, se nelle avanguardie storiche l’arte rivela ancora l’ “altro” della realtà, e in questo modo si contrappone all’esistente, le produzioni artistiche attuali sono invece caratterizzate da un realismo acritico e simulacrale che, negando ogni “altro”, rinuncia alla possibilità di trasformare l’esistente. The historical avant-garde of the 1920s and the neo-avant-garde of the 1960s both aim to overcame the distinction between art and reality, denying in this way that autonomy of art guaranteed by the form. Nevertheless, if the historical avant-garde art still reveals the “other of reality”, and in this way contrasts with what exists, the current artistic productions are conversely characterized by an “uncritical” and “simulacral” realism that, denying any “other”, abandons the possibility to transform reality.
