Qualità territoriale, ambienti e paesaggi. Età a confronto in alcune aree tosco-laziali.

Geographical features, natural, historical, cultural landscapes, human and productive settlements all combine to give a particular shape to a territory and have influence on the local communities’ perception of the area Besides civil and industrial settlements, some suburban, mountainous, hilly and coastal areas of central Italy also present natural and cultural landscapes of such value to make them suitable for high quality and sustainable tourism. This research studies the relationship between the inhabitants and their territory, exploring their knowledge of the places, their sense of belonging and their ties to these environments. The results aim to highlight the importance given by the inhabitants to their local features, focusing on how different the perception is, according to the different age groups.

Caratteristiche geografiche, paesaggi naturali, storici e culturali, insediamenti umani e produttivi si combinano nel determinare l’aspetto di un territorio e la percezione dei luoghi nelle comunità locali. In aree extra-urbane montane, collinari e costiere del centro Italia, che oltre agli insediamenti civili ed alcune aree industriali, presentano elementi di valore naturale, paesaggistico e culturale che le rendono adatte ed idonee ad accogliere un turismo sostenibile e di qualità, la ricerca studia il rapporto degli abitanti con il loro territorio, esplorando il senso di appartenenza, la conoscenza dei luoghi ed il legame con i luoghi geografici di pertinenza. I risultati intendono evidenziare l’importanza attribuita dagli abitanti ai caratteri territoriali, considerando la differenza di percezione nelle diverse fasce di età.
