The paper is an introduction to a collection of new contributions to the study of K.H. Mácha's poetry. The papers were presented at Sapienza Rome University during an international seminar (8th-9th may 2013) devoted to the Czech poet, whose world famous poem May was again translated into Italian as the first volume of the series Anemoni - Central European Classics by Marslio Publishers (Venice).
Il testo introduce i contenuti di un seminario internazionale di studi tenutosi alla Sapienza Università di Roma (8-9 maggio 2013) e dedicato al poeta ceco Karel Hynek Mácha in occasione della pubblicazione della nuova traduzione italiana del poema Maggio, con cui si inaugura la collana di classici centroeuropei Anemoni presso l'editore Marsilio di Venezia.
