In Italy, local festivals seem to often make reference to agricultural work, either celebrating a nostalgic past, or showcasing the current local productions. From ‘agrarian feasts’ to ‘agri-feasts’: three different rituals performed in Lazio are briefly presented as case studies in order to discuss processes of ritualization (‘festivizzazione’) of agricultural work that seem to have the capacity to produce social poetics and participation in public life.

Abstract
In Italy, local festivals seem to often make reference to agricultural work, either celebrating a nostalgic past, or showcasing the current local productions. From ‘agrarian feasts’ to ‘agri-feasts’: three different rituals performed in Lazio are briefly presented as case studies in order to discuss processes of ritualization (‘festivizzazione’) of agricultural work that seem to have the capacity to produce social poetics and participation in public life.File allegati a questo prodotto
