The essay traces the military conditions of the Italian Royal Army at the outbreak of World War I and during the year of neutrality deepening the relationship between political and military power in a delicate historical juncture for the fate of the country and of Europe.
Il saggio ripercorre le condizioni militari del Regio Esercito italiano alla vigilia dello scoppio della Grande Guerra e durante l'anno di neutralità approfondendo il rapporto tra potere politico e militare in un frangente storico delicato per le sorti del Paese e d'Europa.
