Francesco Melchiorri has been my mentor and I have worked with him for almost 25 years. It is not easy to summarize 25 years of intense activity in a short talk. And even more difficult will be to give a feeling of his enthusiasm, competence, generosity. But I will try. The simplest approach is just to go year by year, project by project, and span sequentially these 25 years of incredible challenges, hard work, failures and successes.
