Pensando la guerra all’estremo

This essay analyzes the failure, maybe definitive, of the attempt to realize the «mise en forme» of the war, occurred many times after Westfalia, 1815, 1918 and 1945. The war, being legitimate because fought among political entities, superiorem non reconoscentes, thanks to a legal right to land control, has been now downgraded to a pre-political stage of bellum privatum, at the same time limited and global. In this perspective, on the other hand, never the leading international institutions of governance (Nato, Onu, Ue) are able to organise in a juridical framework the asymmetric conflicts in XXIst first century.
