A direct model coarsely describing warping, endowed with nonlinear constitutive relations, yields field equations for open thin-walled beams. We investigate warping effects on critical loads and natural frequencies for generic cross-sections, affected by constitutive couplings (bending/torsion/warping), and we give a hint on validating experiments.

Abstract
A direct model coarsely describing warping, endowed with nonlinear constitutive relations, yields field equations for open thin-walled beams. They are numerically integrated by an in-house numerical code, providing non-trivial equilibria and examining their stability. We investigate warping effects on critical loads and natural frequencies for generic cross-sections, affected by constitutive couplings (bending/torsion/warping), and we give a hint on validating experiments.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
