A high-performance thin layer chromatographic (HPTLC) method with densitometric UV detection has been used for the determination and puritycontrol of new serotonergic anxiolytics. With silica gel as adsorbentand three different mobile phases all the potential impurities are well separated from the main components and from each other. Detection limits of a few nanograms were obtained at a signal-to-noise ratio 3:1,The relative standard deviation values for the main components and related impurities were between 2.2 and 3.4%, The results obtained were compared with those obtained by a previously established HPLC method.

Abstract
A high-performance thin layer chromatographic (HPTLC) method with densitometric UV detection has been used for the determination and puritycontrol of new serotonergic anxiolytics. With silica gel as adsorbentand three different mobile phases all the potential impurities are well separated from the main components and from each other. Detection limits of a few nanograms were obtained at a signal-to-noise ratio 3:1,The relative standard deviation values for the main components and related impurities were between 2.2 and 3.4%, The results obtained were compared with those obtained by a previously established HPLC method.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
