An exact analysis of the MMPP/G/1/K queueing model is carried out, yielding the whole buffer occupancy probability distribution, and in particular the loss probability. The solution is obtained via an algorithmic procedure and requires only algebraic manipulations. Moreover, the expression of the Laplace-Stieltjes transform of the virtual waiting time distribution is derived.
