Replies to comments by Clarkin’s (see record 2015-00451-002) on the original article by Liniardi et al. (see record 2015-00451-001) regarding the development of the second edition of the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual, the PDM-2. The current authors appreciate Clarkin’s thoughtful, friendly commentary on the original PDM project and on our hopes and intentions for the second edition of the PDM. As there is very little in his essay with which the authors disagree, they expand on some of his points.
