In this essay I investigate the authorship issue in the contemporary literature, providing a number of examples of text in which the author has an innovative shape compared to traditional authorship. During the twentieth century, the author had to evolve, in order to survive to his death, continually claimed by scholars: sometimes it masked behind his characters, becoming a character himself, same other times it disappeared, phagocytosed by a new creole entity crafted by the co-operation between two or more authors. The author had to change his role indeed. In this essay I highlight nine types of authorship and corresponding examples of contemporary works in which they appear. This list is not exhaustive of the whole phenomenon, but it wants to be a starting point to individuate and problematize the authorship issue in relation to international modern literature. These nine types of authors, apparently non-innovative, in fact strongly characterize contemporary literature.

Abstract
These nine types of authors, apparently non-innovative, in fact strongly characterize contemporary literature.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
