Abstract

Over the years it has been possible to carry out surveys of architectural events of particular importance with respect to both the size and context (urban and regional): Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome (founded as the Mausoleum of Hadrian), the Royal Palace of Caserta (made by Luigi Vanvitelli as the seat of the Ministries of the ancient Kingdom of Naples), the Vittoriano in Rome (built in the first half of the twentieth century as a monument in honour of King Vittorio Emanuele II, who was responsible for the unification of Italy). The activity – with the preparation of large-scale equipment graphics and three-dimensional models – has allowed us to see how often and especially how their significant achievement has contributed significantly to the transformation of the land and / or the urban context. The contribution, even with the necessary iconography, wants to explain in each case the induced transformations
