The class semigroup of a numerical semigroup is the semigroup of classes of its relative ideals. Some properties of that semigroup of classes are studied. In particular we observe that it is finite and compute its cardinality in some cases, using the poset of gaps. Moreover, we study its generators of and the reduction number of its elements.
