The paper aims to investigate the role played by Pos (a Dutch pupil of Husserl) in the foundation of a phenomenology of language and of a structural linguistic theory. Struggling against behaviorism and physicalism and refusing their radical divarication between an objective point of view and the subjective one, Pos maintains, as also Saussure did, the role of subjectivity in language. In fact, the linguistic object is the result of a subjective, mobile and context depending point of view. The merely categorical and classificatory point of view is abstract and belongs to the linguist/observer who misses the concrete point of view of the speaking subject embodied in the phenomenology.

Abstract
The paper aims to investigate the role played by Pos (a Dutch pupil of Husserl) in the foundation of a phenomenology of language and of a structural linguistic theory. Struggling against behaviorism and physicalism and refusing their radical divarication between an objective point of view and the subjective one, Pos maintains, as also Saussure did, the role of subjectivity in language. In fact, the linguistic object is the result of a subjective, mobile and context depending point of view. The merely categorical and classificatory point of view is abstract and belongs to the linguist/observer who misses the concrete point of view of the speaking subject embodied in the phenomenology.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
