The purpose of this paper is to implement an integrated waste management system through the analysis of some driver associated, such as public health, environmental, resource scarcity and value of waste. Hence, the paper will identify governance guidelines aimed to improve the treatment and disposal waste system and, consequently, to reduce, in terms of quantity, the transfer to landfill.
