Abstract

The paper focuses on how the forms of social and spatial segregation are changing while they are rising new questions and problems concerning the city-regions, regional cities, metropolis or post-metropolis. Within the general research framework and through some case-studies, issues about exclusion and inequality in the case of Roma in the Rome post-metropolis, or the challenges about exclusionary zoning and socio-spatial diversity in the Chinese district in the case of the post-metropolitan region of Florence, will be proposed and discussed.
