Sustainability has become a topic of great interest to both organizations and as a research topic. However, companies seeking to develop supply chain solutions that are eco-efficient are often hampered by their ability to control the wider supply chain and also lack the required specialist capabilities. Consequently they need to draw upon external support from suppliers, distributors and logistics service providers (LSP). This paper aims to explore how LSPs involvement in building sustainable supply chains could represent the key action to improving sustainability whilst lowering costs.

Abstract
Sustainability has become a topic of great interest to both organizations and as a research topic. However, companies seeking to develop supply chain solutions that are eco-efficient are often hampered by their ability to control the wider supply chain and also lack the required specialist capabilities. Consequently they need to draw upon external support from suppliers, distributors and logistics service providers (LSP). This paper aims to explore how LSPs involvement in building sustainable supply chains could represent the key action to improving sustainability whilst lowering costs.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
