This paper present an alternative bearing surface that is made of a Peek carbon fibre femoral cup and a CoCr alloy femoral head or vice versa. In this work, which has been developed by the author for many years, a large number of tribological couplings is examined and an innovative method for an efficient lubricant condition, based on the difference of material wettability is proposed.
