The research has been developed with the aim of defining guidelines regarding requirements and performances for the planning and design of components finalised in the protection and fruition of properties and archaeological areas, articulated in different stages of intervention: - selection of examples, taken from the main projects published and/or undertaken in various Italian and European archaeological contexts, with the aim of forming a broad repertoire from which draw up ways of application and technical and cultural references, relative to equipment and complementary elements, such as coverings, envelopes, fencing, walkways and fittings; - organisation of the problems linked to the protection and fruition of the sites and the archaeological artefacts, within a system evaluating the different levels of decay encountered; - verification applied to the systems of protection and fruition in sample contexts, concerning archaeological areas important for the type of historical artefacts emerging and characterised by specific and diverse environmental conditions. The objective is to supply the planner with a univocal reference system to be used in the planning of structures designed to protect archaeological properties from elements causing deterioration and for their organised fruition by users of the cultural patrimony, thereby indicating for each intervention precise guidelines controlling and evaluating the expected impacts.

Abstract
The objective is to supply the planner with a univocal reference system to be used in the planning of structures designed to protect archaeological properties from elements causing deterioration and for their organised fruition by users of the cultural patrimony, thereby indicating for each intervention precise guidelines controlling and evaluating the expected impacts.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
