In 2006-2009, with funds provided by the CIPE 17/2003 (2 M Euros), the ISCR begins a project on the study of seismic vulnerability assessment at a large-scale on the monuments of some territories in Sicily and Calabria. The conditions of preservation of about 4000 buildings, the geophysical features of theirs territories have been examined and many data about seismic history have been collected. The creation of a thesaurus of technical data available to public institutions is the aim of this work. In this way it can be possible helping people who is responsible for the emergency management, the preservation of cultural heritage, the infrastructure management and, more generally, the territory. The project marks a new stage in the development of the Information System Map of Risk; it deals with the danger of the territory and the risk of the monuments not only within the three main domains: static-structural, environmental, human. These domains have characterized the startup of the system since the nineties but are now integrated by a new topic in relation to seismic problem. In order to determine new evaluation models of seismic risk, indicators of seismic hazard, updated in relation to the new regulations, have been linked for the first time with the vulnerability indexes that derived from a new path of seismic data sheet.
