In this work, the removal of polyphenols from aqueous solutions by adsorption on polymeric resins were experimentally investigated. In particular Amberlite XAD16 resin, a polystyrene-based material with a high surface area, was used to remove 4 methylchatecol from aqueous solutions, as case study. The desorption was accomplished by hydro-alcoholic solutions.
