Analyzing the problem of accessibility in buildings of historical and cultural value means to assess all the implications related to the difficulty of fruition by disabled people, trying to combine the instances of conservation with those of full enjoyment of public spaces and works of art. This evaluation starts with an analysis of the causes of the gap between accessibility “in theory” and accessibility “in practice” that only few people put into effects, since there is a gap between thinking and doing accessibility.

Abstract
Analyzing the problem of accessibility in buildings of historical and cultural value means to assess all the implications related to the difficulty of fruition by disabled people, trying to combine the instances of conservation with those of full enjoyment of public spaces and works of art. This evaluation starts with an analysis of the causes of the gap between accessibility “in theory” and accessibility “in practice” that only few people put into effects, since there is a gap between thinking and doing accessibility.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
