Culture giovanili tra consumi, eccesso e senso del limite

The excess characterizes life experiences of large groups of young people. In the recent past, the excess was related to subcultural lifestyles.- Today those behaviors seem common to various youth groups. It is essential to understand new social meanings that our culture gives to the idea of exceeding the limits, in order to comprehend youth practices outside tghe perimeter of deviance and within the framework of social expectations.

Il tema dell'eccesso caratterizza i vissuti di larghe fasce delle giovani generazioni. Se in passato l'eccesso era legato a stili di vita controculturali, oggi alcuni comprtamenti appaiono diffusi anche a settori un tempo estranei a questi fenomeni. Occorre comprendere il significato sociale che le nostre culture attribuiscono all'andare oltre e all'idea stessa di limite per inquadrare queste pratiche fuori dai confini della devianza e dentro la cornice delle aspettative sociali.
