Quadricuspid Aortic Valve (QAV) is a very rare cardiac malformation (<1.46%) which is very rarely associated with other diseases, such as Ascending Aortic Aneurysm (AAA). The authors present a case of cardiac tamponade from a rupture of the AAA that may have been caused, as shown by a review of the literature, by the QAV.
