This work examines the birth of the faith in Jesus of Nazareth within Judaism of the time. The different views taken by James, Paul and the Hellenistic Jews, like Stephen, concerning the relationship between faith in Jesus, the Torah and salvation depended on the differences found in Judaism. According to the Gospel of John and also the Epistle of Barnabas, the affirmation of the High Christology, that saw Jesus Christ as a divine being who became man, increased the conflicts between the Jewish believers and non believers in Jesus. In the work of Justin we observe that High Christology and Christological exegesis of the Hebrew Scripture stress the irremediable break between the Jews and Christians, the latter already considered as non Jewish.

Abstract
This work examines the birth of the faith in Jesus of Nazareth within Judaism of the time. The different views taken by James, Paul and the Hellenistic Jews, like Stephen, concerning the relationship between faith in Jesus, the Torah and salvation depended on the differences found in Judaism. According to the Gospel of John and also the Epistle of Barnabas, the affirmation of the High Christology, that saw Jesus Christ as a divine being who became man, increased the conflicts between the Jewish believers and non believers in Jesus. In the work of Justin we observe that High Christology and Christological exegesis of the Hebrew Scripture stress the irremediable break between the Jews and Christians, the latter already considered as non Jewish.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
