The development of organic farming has been certainly encouraged by the EU legislation implemented over the years thanks to the prominent place given to support this reproductive mode in EU policies. The step towards the enforcement of biological agriculture comes also from the desire to build a modern and effective partnership in the Mediterranean basin. The work is based on the description of European legislation and also analyzes the tools for action contained in the PSR 2007 to 2013. The institutional dynamics have direct effects on economic decisions and assessing their effectiveness requires knowledge of the contents of these policies of incentives and support.
Il contributo evidenzia come la politica agricola comunitaria debba tendere al rafforzamento delle competenze e delle capacità individuali e istituzionali per ovviare ad alcune criticità relative alle difficoltà di mercato e di collocazione commerciale delle produzioni biologiche.
