The green economy initiative:evolution and perspectives for the European Union Countries

The general objective of the green economy is to give an answer to environmental issues at the same time redefining the business models through the restructuring of the value chain. The pursuit of the overall objective is made possible by the application of technological measures economic laws and public education aimed at reducing consumption of energy and natural resources to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, reduce pollution. The application of different measures should be using mainly renewable resources, recycling and proceeding to the deepest of all types of waste produced. This paper aims to analyze the profile and characteristics of the green economy in order to delineate the evolutionary prospects in the light of current social economic conditions prevailing in Europe’ s society.
