Journals “in full view”: on the relation ship between form and content. – This paper is a tribute to Cosimo Palagiano’s efforts to enable the publication of two journals of geography “geografia” and “semestrale di studi e ricerche di geografia”. The author analyzes if and how scientific journals are functional in assessing the quality of research. The author specifically expresses his concern that the search for uniformity and fair judgment could lead to a supremacy of four over content.
