The article presents the results of an exploratory research into the relationship between television representation of politics and its protagonists vis-à-vis the degree of confidence the younger generations express with regard to political institutions that best represent the link between politics and society. The hypothesis is that the television representation of politics, and in particular the degree of conflict with which talk shows portray socially relevant issues such as work, have a profound effect on the process of turning the entire population, and particularly young people, away from politics. The verification of this hypothesis is entrusted to a research design similar to that used by two American scholars (Forgette, Morris, 2006). The subjects were young college students, who, in all probability, were active TV viewers and critics, and who for this reason supplied answers of great interest to the stimuli presented.

Abstract
The article presents the results of an exploratory research into the relationship between television representation of politics and its protagonists vis-à-vis the degree of confidence the younger generations express with regard to political institutions that best represent the link between politics and society. The hypothesis is that the television representation of politics, and in particular the degree of conflict with which talk shows portray socially relevant issues such as work, have a profound effect on the process of turning the entire population, and particularly young people, away from politics. The verification of this hypothesis is entrusted to a research design similar to that used by two American scholars (Forgette, Morris, 2006). The subjects were young college students, who, in all probability, were active TV viewers and critics, and who for this reason supplied answers of great interest to the stimuli presented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
