Dai diari di Ottiero Ottieri

In this contribution, we publish some extracts from Ottieri's private diaries for the first time. As the material is vast, we have selected passages that show the variety of topics and the array of literary styles these journals demonstrate: from political or philosophical reflections to literary projects or autobiographical memoranda. The texts are accompanied by a series of notes which give information about the diaries, kept in the “Centro di ricerca sulla tradizione manoscritta di autori moderni e contemporanei” of Pavia, in addition to seeking to place the fragments in their historical context
