Abstract
The essay offers a possible philological reconstruction of a fragment from Accius’Epigoni as well as a pertinent lexical discussion. In order to understand the meaning of certain words, the text is related to its mythical context and, more especially, to the pathos of the scene. Alcmeon, in fact, kills his mother Eriphyle when he sees her decked out in Harmonia's necklace, a fatal piece of jewellery to which metaphorical allusion is made through a word that is mainly employed with the meaning of collar.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
