In this paper the risk of supply chain disruptions is investigated in relations to different policies of inventory replenishment. The increasing attention to this issue in the academic and business, has strongly motivated the development of this work, above all to obtain analysis of costs in terms of distributions and variability. The goal is to enrich literature in constant growth and allow companies to manage the risks associated with such events, providing considerations to develop appropriate mitigation strategies for the supply chain disruption risk. In addition we wanted to compare the behavior, in terms of performance, of a system managed by continuous or periodic review policy, to previous results from the literature. The implementation of a validated supply chain model is a further goal, to provide a tool for what-if analysis in not already studied disruption situations.

Abstract
The implementation of a validated supply chain model is a further goal, to provide a tool for what-if analysis in not already studied disruption situations.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
