According to the last standard of 3 beds/1000 citizens recently established by central Government, hospitals in Italy are going to lose the role of unappropriate substitute that negatively influenced their performance since long time: the hospital will become a “hub” providing highly specialized services, while community health functions can be decentralized over the territory where “requests” are expressed and the effectiveness of “response” can be evaluated. With particolar reference to the palliative pediatric care network, the system has the pediatric hospice as its core reference (see L.38/2010); such facilities are operative in foreign countries since long times but they are not much known in Italy, as we have only the Padua hospice. The aim of our research project is to analyze the many and peculiar needs of the pediatric patient and his family, turning these requests in suggestions for design and planning and trying to give proper solutions through the quality of habitat.

Abstract
The aim of our research project is to analyze the many and peculiar needs of the pediatric patient and his family, turning these requests in suggestions for design and planning and trying to give proper solutions through the quality of habitat.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
