Fattibilità economica della tecnologia RFID applicata ad un magazzino automatizzato nell'industria alimentare

Considering modern “industrial-logistics” as an integrated approach to the coordination of logistics flow and production, in recent years research has focused on the development of new technologies for the identification and tracking of products as a feasible alternative to the traditional bar code technology. The bar code is still the most popular instrument for the resolution of technology-related problems, because of its widespread use and very low costs of implementation and management. With this study we describe the possible applications of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), introduced as a means of support to the operating procedures of a food factory’s automated warehouse, with the aim of assessing its feasibility and cost-effectiveness, in view of improving the system’s performance of the system.
