La ricerca in Medicina legale ai tempi dell'H-Index.

The scientific research in our country is going through a season of extreme importance, characterized by decisions and choices relevant to the present system of quality assessment. The development of so-called medians drew attention to the bibliometric parameters, largely unrelated to academic universe, that not hard science. The legal medicine finds himself to be run over by a radical change in some points of view “epoch-making”, which is likely to surprise stakeholders because, in fact, end up changing in the running “the rules of the game”. In this paper the authors address the issues related to a careless use of the H-index parameter favorite by bibliometrics to the impact factor and recognized by public institutions involved in the evaluation procedures. On the basis of the international literature, which have long dealt with the subject, the critical issues are analyzed.
