Studio sulla correlazione fra trattamento laser e variazioni perimetriche e tonometriche in soggetti glaucomatosi

This study considers 79 eyes suffering from glaucoma and trated by laser-therapy. A critical comparison was carried out between visual fields, lOP, medical therapy before and after treatment. The authors found that the visual field was unchanged after treatment in 81 % of the cases; it had worsened in 19% of the cases, even if in 66.9% of the latter the lOP had decreased after treatment. Lastly, the visual fields already deteriorated before treatment had worsened to the extent of 20.7%. Relations between changes in visual field, lOP, medical therapy after treatment were studied.
