The paper analyzes the design and implementation of Game-Based Learning scenarios with italian school teachers. Data gathered during the whole process reveal that teachers who are open to include innovative practices at school demonstrate specific skills to cope with organisational boundaries and stay focused on the potential of the pedagogical approach, thus suggesting new strategies for innovating at school.
